From the Bluepaper:  “The Dragon Under the Landfill”:  Sanctuary Experts Say Don’t Use Shallow Wells at Cudjoe Regional

Citizen activists in the Lower Keys fought for a deep well and now they’ve got it.  Strictly following the letter of the law as it stands now, a deep well isn’t required.  It sure is a good idea though.  I’m very critical of the county’s over-spending on the Cudjoe Regional project, but the deep well is a good investment.

This deep well situation is a good example of how effective citizens can be once they commit to advocating for themselves.
