I truly believe that Key Largo and unincorporated Tavernier need to incorporate. It’s a financial necessity and the only hope for good government. The county once prepared a report claiming Key Largo was a “recipient” community. The idea was to stifle incorporation talk and kick up some dust over the wastewater funding inequity.
