More drama at the Key Largo Wastewater Treatment District. My two cents:
- Employees come and employees go. Losing the Operations Manager is significant, especially when it’s someone as capable as Dan Saus. But the GM (General Manager) should be able to handle the situation without it devolving into chaos.
- Past District GM’s were both engineers with prior utility industry experience who could step in and run operations if needed. It provided a measure of redundancy and stability that is not available in the current situation. The Board may want to consider reviving that strategy if they ultimately choose to make a change.
Good luck, District. This, too, shall pass.
